Tortoise vs. Hare

I have this disorder that I haven't told you about.
I am an impatient decorator.
This has led to poor  decision making in the past and I am really
(REALLY REALLY REALLY)
trying to be more patient.

I want to be like this:
Serene in the face of chaos.
Guess that's why I'm not at angel status yet.
God has placed me in the midst of this hectic life to teach me something I'm sure
 AGAIN.......
(slow learner, that's me!)
Time is an interesting thing.....moving so fast at one point....moving so slowly at another....
maybe both in the same day.
I don't care who we are, we all get the same 24 hrs
or 1440 minutes
or 86,400 seconds
every day......
there IS time.....it just needs to be used wisely.

A handful of patience is worth more than a bushel of brains.  ~Dutch Proverb

So, the living room and the wall unit are getting painted in stages
 S -L-O-W-L-Y
The mess from the Porch sale is getting moved
S-L-O-W-L-Y
and I am trying to be patient....like her.

I don't know how you are, but when I am in the midst of upheaval
physical
emotional
spiritual
it helps me to find beauty somewhere.
So, even though I have BIG things to do, it gives me pleasure to do these little things.

Enjoying the beauty of creation

One moment of patience may ward off great disaster.
One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.
 ~Chinese Proverb

That is so true isn't it?
I can clearly remember mistakes I made when I was impatient, can't you?
Dear God,
Please let me be the tortoise and not the hare.......at least today.....

So true! I am having to be patient with a new home. Choosing paint colors, building the living room wall unit. It seems like weeks pass in seconds and yet the things I'm trying to accomplish go so slow. I, as well, will attempt to be like your angel :) Have patience, have patience, don't be in such a hurry! From a favorite song as a kid!
