Today I want to show another idea for one of those little ceramic vases/jugs I picked up recently.

Today I'll show you how I did this faux zinc bottle
You'll need:
tinfoil
Mod Podge
black and gray paint
gesso
I chose to make a strip around the main part of the jug
so I measured and cut a piece of foil the right size.
Crumple it up, then flatten it back out.
Glue it around your object using the ModPodge
Let it dry well and then go back and make sure there are no loose areas.
It needs to be very secure to the object.
Cover the foil with a couple coats of ModPodge, I am using the matte finish.
When it's all dry, cover the foil with black paint. I used these colors.
After the black paint is dry, do a coat of gray. While it is wet,
dab off some of the gray with a rag or papertowel.
When you're satisfied with the look, let that dry.
Next comes an application of slightly thinned gesso.
it will lighten slightly as it dries but you can see I now have that weathered appearance I want.
I added a small lock and key from Tim Holtz's collection.
I used rusty wire around the neck of the bottle to hold the key.
Perfect for some paintbrushes!
And now the giveaway I promised!
I've had the idea for this pillow for quite awhile now.
I was just having some difficulty getting the graphic on the fabric.
I finally located some of the Blendy pens that Villabarnes uses and it worked great!
I over inked it by hand after transferring the graphic because for this pillow,
I felt more definition was needed.
It's my own design so it is one of a kind!

I'm not a vampire fan but it seems all the people I know are!
Either it's Vampire Diaries, Twilight or Dark Shadows!
